L’Abbraccio (The Embrace)

Created to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic, this installation reimagines peace not as an untouchable ideal, but as a lived experience: imperfect and deeply human. Inspired by the Casta Diva from Norma by Vicenzo Bellini, intricately knotted tulle creates an immersive, spatial depiction of peace. The shades of green, white and red pay homage to the Italian flag, continuously transforming through shifts in light, movement and presence. The installation invites viewers into a slow, attentive state, evoking a sense of care, openness and mutual trust. “Where we soften into each other, peace begins.” - Minnal Gala

Threads of Life

Through the intricate techniques of weaving, macramé, braiding and crochet, wools and cotton come together to create a magnificent Artistic Odyssey; a piece primarily inspired by my experience as a mother and the intricate journey of life. The installation begins by depicting the union from which life emerges, unfolding into the microscopic essence of DNA before finally evolving into forms of life itself and culminating in portrayals of my two daughters. The vibrant shades of white, red, orange and yellow blend effortlessly, each colour embodying an emotion, while the open spaces represent life’s challenges and moments of absence. Together, they create a visual narrative of the human experience.
