The Journey of Knit Knots: In every piece, a story

Every creation begins long before a stitch. Sometimes it starts in the kitchen. Sometimes it begins in the peaceful moments of motherhood, where love is expressed through gestures. Knit Knots was inspired by these moments, transforming emotions and stories into tactile forms.

For me, textiles have always carried stories. Braiding, knotting and crochet became a language through which I could celebrate my love for baking and food. Familiar forms emerged through fibre, inspired by breads, croissants and even the nostalgic comfort of a Parle-G biscuit.

Colours deeply enhanced the emotional value of the collection, creating an interesting narrative. Soft spring hues were chosen to reflect joy, renewal and the ever-evolving journey of life. Every knot and thread also connected me back to my roots and childhood, where I spent hours learning from my grandmother. Those moments taught me that creation is not solely about ‘technique’, hence the collection was a microcosm for the feelings of nostalgia, emotion, passion for something and in fact for the appreciation of life.

The selection of fabrics such as cotton, denim, wool and silk effortlessly blended to reflect the feeling of comfort, warmth and softness. Every piece in Knit Knots was crafted by hand, reminding me that whether we are preparing food or creating with textiles, we are ultimately doing the same thing: making with love.

Looking back, I realise Knit Knots was never just a collection, it was a reflection of things that matter to me most in life.
